INGENIUM CORPORATION UNVEILS A NEW ONLINE PRESENCE FOR WALTER REED ARMY MEDICAL CENTER

Washington, D.C. -- Ingenium Corporation has launched a new public website for the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) in Washington, D.C. The new site directly supports WRAMC's multi-pronged efforts in serving wounded soldiers, their families, and those seeking to provide assistance. The new site features significant improvements in navigation, search capabilities, and updated content. In addition, the site contains a host of new features including access to cafeteria menus and RSS feeds for news and event content that facilitates transparency and accessibility.

Ingenium developers, partnered closely with WRAMC staff, took the site from conception to production in under five months. Rapid deployment was facilitated by the use of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS). Ingenium used its extensive experience in deploying SharePoint systems within the Army's network environment to develop the new website.

Specifically, Ingenium expanded upon the robust MOSS platform utilizing custom web parts and .NET applications. While the customization of MOSS and the tight timelines presented development challenges, Ingenium worked with WRAMC staff to conquer their content challenges by consolidating information from over 12,000 existing pages to fewer than 5,000. Ingenium developed custom content management applications to ensure all existing content was properly ported and consolidated.
