INGENIUM CORPORATION DEVELOPS REAL-TIME PATIENT TRACKING SYSTEM FOR INAUGURATION DAY

As a member of the Joint Task Force (JTF) for the National Capital Region (NCR), the Ingenium team at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) developed the medical initiative Inauguration Patient Tracking System (IPTS). IPTS is a real-time patient tracking system designed to track the disposition of military personnel performing duties and civilian population attending the 2009 Inauguration ceremony and parade. The system provided an electronic means of tracking patients (military and civilian), their symptoms, diagnosis and disposition and provided military medical personnel logistics information during the secured events. JTF Capital Medical (CAPMED) was responsible for providing and overseeing all medical necessities during the mission. They utilized IPTS to receive up to the minute information on the number of patients, type of injuries, patient location and patient status during the event.
